Tofu-Fail and Ugly Yummy

This first tofu attempt involved marinating and then baking. The marinade was just too salty, which made the whole endeavor a big fail. Truly the flavors themselves were not all that bad (balsamic, soy sauce, garlic, ginger) but the additional salt in the recipe was just uncalled for. The baking also probably should have lasted longer. All in all it was edible, but changes will have to be made for next time.
The roasted veggies underneath however were delicious and easy as always. Just some olive oil, salt and pepper and broiled until browned.
The came dessert. I'm moving soon, so I wanted to use up stuff in my freezer. I had some left over puff pastry and frozen cherries. Mixed the cherries with some sugar, lime juice, and cornstarch. De-thawed the puff pastry, rolled it out and viole! The egg was for the egg wash on the top, not needed, just prettier with it.
Mmmm
